Qualifications

• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.

About the role

The Project Finance Specialist is responsible for supporting project finance operations by monitoring project budgets and expenses, preparing financial reports, tracking billing and cash flow activities, and maintaining financial records. This is to achieve accurate cost monitoring, timely financial reporting, and efficient financial support for project execution.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Track project budgets, expenses, and cost movements to support budget monitoring and financial control
• Monitor project spending against approved budgets and identify cost variances or budget issues for review
• Support budget preparation, forecasting, and cost updates by consolidating financial data and project cost information
• Prepare project financial reports, cost summaries, and variance reports for management review and project monitoring
• Monitor the financial progress of assigned projects by tracking budget performance and cost status
• Consolidate financial data and support the preparation of project performance reports and financial analyses
• Track project billing, collections, and payment schedules to support project cash flow monitoring and timely financial transactions
• Process petty cash requests, cash advances, and liquidation documents for project-related expenses and ensure complete supporting documents
• Maintain and update project financial records, cost documents, and supporting files to ensure accurate and complete documentation
• Check project financial transactions and documents for completeness and compliance with company policies and approved budgets

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Financial Management, Business Administration, or related field
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in project finance, budgeting, cost monitoring, financial reporting, billing, or financial analysis
• Familiarity with project cost tracking, budget monitoring, and financial reporting in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or EPC environments
• Good analytical and numerical skills
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy in financial data and records
• Good coordination and communication skills
• Good documentation and report preparation skills
• Proficiency in financial tracking, reporting, and analysis using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and accounting or ERP systems
