Job summary

evoke is hiring a Finance Specialist in Manila to support the Company’s finance function. You will work with the COE Controllership team to deliver accurate financial information and analysis for stakeholders.

The role involves journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, audits, and ad hoc accounting tasks. Requirements include a BS Accountancy, CPA qualification, and 4+ years in accounting/finance/audit (or 2+ years if CPA).

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or related field.
• CPA qualification is preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting, finance, or audit (non-CPA candidates require 2 years CPA exemption).
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, post, and submit journals for approval.
• Maintain reconciliations and supporting documentation.
• Perform Balance Sheet and TB reconciliations as assigned.
• Prepare statutory and consolidated financial statements and disclosures.
• Assist audits with required documentation and interaction with auditors.
• Support KPI setting and performance targets for the controllership team.

Within the role, you will work closely with COE Controllership team, responsible for supporting decision-making processes by providing accurate financial information and analysis to various stakeholders. Your expertise in financial reporting will contribute to the financial health and strategic direction of the Company.**What you will be doing:** Core responsibilities* Prepare, create, and post journals and submit for approval;* Maintain organised and up-to-date records of reconciliation activities, including supporting documentation and evidence;* Perform Balance Sheet and TB reconciliations assigned by the Senior Team Manager;* Maintain schedules, account reconciliations and perform accounts analysis as assigned by the Senior Team Manager;* Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely statutory and consolidated financial statements and disclosures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements by collaborating across functions;* Knowledge in a variety of ad hoc technical accounting issues; preparing technical accounting work papers; preparing these for audit and presenting these to management;* Provide support to Senior Controllership Specialists for all internal and external audit activities through the provision of required documentation, attendance of necessary meetings.* Collaborate with COE Controllership Senior Team Manager to set daily, weekly, monthly and annual performance targets and KPI’s for the teamAd hoc responsibilities* Ensure appropriate continuous professional development, keeping abreast of all internal, legislative, and industry best practice;* Ensure appropriate interpretation and implementation of required changes in a timely manner;* Support all internal and external audit activities through the provision of required documentation when necessary.* The above accountabilities and responsibilities are not exhaustive, and the jobholder may be required to undertake additional duties that are consistent with the level and grading of the role.**Who we are looking for:*** Graduate of BS Accountancy or any related course* CPA qualified* Minimum of 4 years’ experience working in the field of accounting, finance, or audit (if non CPA)* Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the field of accounting, finance, or audit.
