Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a Finance Officer to lead daily disbursement and accounting operations, ensuring alignment with client SLAs. The role covers monthly bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and month-end close with accruals and depreciation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
• Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting.
• Basic knowledge of local taxation, statutory compliance, and GAAP principles.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily disbursement and accounting operations to align with client SLAs.
• Oversee monthly bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, and 3-way matching accounts payable.
• Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations with central repositories.
• Manage intercompany accounting, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and fixed asset controls.
• Execute month-end closing procedures including accruals, amortizations, depreciation, and allocation entries.
• Prepare local financial statements, year-end finalizations, and audit support.
• Maintain statutory and GAAP books with monthly reconciliations and adjustments.
• Ensure tax compliance including corporate income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, and transfer pricing.
• Support regulatory reporting for PEZA/BOI registrations and compliance.
• Assist treasury functions: banking, cash flow forecasting, FX management, and intercompany funding.

Your Role

As a Finance Officer, you will lead the daily disbursement and accounting operations to ensure full alignment with client SLAs.

Specifically, You Will

• Oversee monthly bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, and 3-way matching accounts payable processes.
• Perform monthly bank and balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring documentation is uploaded to central repositories (e.g., FloQast).
• Manage intercompany accounting, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and fixed asset controls.
• Execute month-end closing procedures, including accruals, amortizations, depreciation, and allocation journal entries.
• Prepare local financial statements, handle year-end account finalizations, and facilitate audit requirements.
• Maintain statutory and GAAP accounting books, completing monthly reconciliations and required book-specific adjustments.
• Ensure full tax compliance, including corporate income tax, VAT returns, withholding taxes, annual information returns, and transfer pricing filings.
• Support regulatory reporting for PEZA/BOI registrations and ongoing compliance requirements.
• Assist local treasury functions, including banking administration, cash flow forecasting, foreign exchange management, and intercompany funding.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
• Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting.
• Basic knowledge of local taxation, statutory compliance, and GAAP principles.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
• Hands-on working experience using NetSuite.
• Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
