Job Description

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).

Maintain accurate and updated general ledger and financial records.

Monitor cash flow, forecasts, and liquidity requirements of energy projects.

Conduct variance analysis and provide financial insights to management.

Budgeting & Forecasting

Develop annual budgets and long-term financial plans for company operations and energy projects.

Track budget performance, analyze deviations, and recommend corrective actions.

Assist in financial modeling for project investments.

Regulatory Compliance

Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies, including:

• DOE (Department of Energy) financial submissions
• ERC (Energy Regulatory Commission) reporting requirements
• BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue) tax regulations
• SEC and LGU requirements

Support audit activities (internal, external, and regulatory audits).

Project Finance

Assist in feasibility studies, ROI analysis, and project cost assessments.

Coordinate with lenders, investors, and government agencies for project financing.

Maintain records of project expenditures and monitor CAPEX/OPEX budgets.

Procurement & Contract Support

Review supplier contracts, purchase orders, and financial terms.

Verify billing statements and project claims from contractors according to project milestones.

Ensure alignment with energy project procurement processes and documentation standards.

Tax & Compliance

Prepare and file tax documents (VAT, EWT, income tax, etc.) in compliance with BIR regulations.

Monitor tax incentives applicable to the energy sector (e.g., PEZA, BOI, RE Act incentives).

Ensure proper documentation for tax exemptions or zero-rated transactions for renewable energy projects.

Implement financial controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.

Identify financial risks related to energy operations and propose mitigation measures.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
