Job summary

1HORA in the Philippines seeks an experienced finance leader to manage local accounting and financial reporting, ensure tax compliance, and oversee daily operations. The role involves handling invoices, filings, cash management, and inventory checks, with liaison to banks and authorities.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 8+ years of experience; English fluency is required, Chinese a plus. This is an on-site position in Metro Manila, reporting to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or related field.
• 8+ years of work experience; trading industry preferred.
• Fluent in English; Chinese is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage local accounting and financial reporting in the Philippines.
• Handle tax compliance including issuing electronic tax invoices, filing tax returns, liaising with tax authorities.
• Oversee daily financial operations: expenses, cash management, processing sales orders, inventory counts.
• Manage external communications with banks, tax authorities, government agencies, and information disclosure as required.
• Perform other tasks assigned by leadership.

Job description

1. Familiarity with local financial standards and requirements in the Philippines; responsible for all local accounting and financial reporting;

2. Responsible for tax compliance, including issuing electronic tax invoices, filing tax returns, handling tax-related matters, and liaising with tax advisors and tax authorities;

3. Manage daily financial operations, including reviewing expense claims, cash/fund management, processing sales orders, conducting inventory counts, etc.;

4. Handle external communications (with banks, tax authorities, government agencies, customs, etc.) and manage information disclosure as required;

5. Perform other tasks assigned by leadership.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting or a related field; 8+ years of work experience (experience in the trading industry is preferred);

2. Strong self-management skills, proactive work attitude, and a strong sense of responsibility;

3. fluent in English (speaking, listening, reading, and writing); proficiency in Chinese is a plus.
