Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and strategic Finance Manager to lead the financial operations of our logistics and transportation company in the Philippines. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and leadership skills and a solid understanding of cost management, financial planning, and compliance specific to the logistics industry. You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting, tax compliance, and financial analysis, playing a key role in strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis:

● Lead the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans.

● Analyze financial performance and variances; prepare monthly management reports with actionable insights.

● Conduct profitability analysis, cost analysis, and breakdowns.

Accounting & Reporting:

● Supervise the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.

● Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and local regulations.

● Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial transactions and reporting.

Cost & Cash Flow Management:

● Monitor and control operational costs including fleet maintenance, fuel, and logistics expenses.

● Develop cost-saving initiatives to improve operational margins.

● Oversee cash flow planning to meet company obligations and manage working capital efficiently.

Taxation & Compliance:

● Ensure timely filing and payment of all tax obligations (BIR, VAT, withholding taxes, etc.).

● Coordinate with auditors, government agencies, and regulatory bodies (e.g., BIR, SEC, LGUs).

● Keep up-to-date with changes in local tax laws and regulations.

Team Leadership:

● Manage and mentor the finance and accounting team.

● Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Systems & Tools:

● Optimize the use of ERP/accounting systems (e.g Logisys, QuickBooks) and implement automation where possible.

● Work closely with IT and operations to integrate financial data with the accounting system

Qualifications:

Education & Certifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.

● CPA license is required.

● MBA or related graduate studies is a plus.

Experience:

● Minimum of 5–8 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 4-5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

● Strong background in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or freight forwarding is highly preferred.

Skills:

● Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.

● In-depth knowledge of Philippine taxation, PFRS, and local regulatory compliance.

● Proficiency in MS Excel and financial modeling.

● Experience with ERP/accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks).

● Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Working Conditions:

● Full-time role, generally Monday to Friday.
