Key Responsibilities:
The Datawarehouse Manager leads the development and operations of Global Finance Solutions’ (GFS) data warehouse ensuring data integrity, accessibility and performance.
This position leads implementation of data governance frameworks, data quality standards and metadata management in GFS to ensure the delivery of trusted, consistent and secure data for reporting, analytics and decision-making.
Working across global, complex and cross-functional environments, the Finance Data Warehouse Manager collaborates with finance, GTD and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, cloud-optimized, and automated data solutions. The role requires strong expertise in data architecture, ETL/ELT pipelines, cloud data platforms and agile project delivery.
Required Education, training, license, registration, and/or Certification:
Bachelors' degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Accounting or Finance, or a related field. Equivalent specialized training, certification or significant work experience.
Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret highly complex problems or processes that cover multiple business areas, and develop solutions.
Excellent analytical skills and strong project management skills
Excellent skills in leadership and people management, time management, problem solving, interpersonal relations, decision-making, and oral and written communication
Required Professional Experience:
Typically requires 6-8 years’ experience on data warehousing, business intelligence, systems and processes, data management using SQL, MS Visual Studio and other modern data warehousing platforms
Typically requires 4-6 years related technical experience, including substantial experience in designing, planning, implementing and integrating finance systems or information technology related to finance.
Strong background in information systems and applications architecture standards, ETL/ELT processes, data modelling and SQL
Considerable experience in designing, developing and testing applications using proven or emerging technologies
Able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization (verbally and in writing)
Can thrive in a multi-cultural, geographically dispersed work environment
At least 4 years’ managerial experience preferably in a non-profit or development organization or the like
Required travel and/or work environment accommodations:
The role requires an on-site presence and involves regular collaboration with global teams across various time zones. Occasional travel may be necessary to support global initiatives and stakeholder engagements.
This position is eligible for Hybrid-Work based on GFS Manila Hybrid Work Position and Implementing Rules.
Position’s physical requirements:
The candidate/incumbent must have the motor skills and physical abilities necessary to perform the work at a computer and in an office environment. The role is primarily office or desk-based and requires the ability to work at a computer for extended periods. The candidate must be able to move within the physical or virtual office to attend meetings and collaborate with team members. The role may involve occasional travel, requiring the ability to navigate various environments and manage physical demands associated with business travel.
Preferred Experience,Knowledge and/or other Qualifications:
Strong experience and substantial knowledge in MS Access Data Management and MS Excel, Pivot Tables, Formula Designing, etc.
Strong experience and substantial knowledge in SQL database management and BIDS
Working knowledge and experience on virtual network connections and Cloud computing.

LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT:
Leads and manages team. Manage all aspects of an employee life cycle including hiring, onboarding, capacity development, performance management. retention, and separation.
Proposes strategy, and develops and implements plans that ensure business continuity for GFS’ data warehouse to achieve department and organizational goals.
Identifies, secures, and coordinates implementation of internal and external resources and expertise as appropriate to achieve program objectives.
Works with other teams in order to effectively align resources across projects.
Negotiates changes in project resources as necessary to achieve objectives and timelines.
DATA STRATEGY AND ARCHITECTURE:
Lead the design, development, and management of the finance data warehouse to support financial reporting and analytics, ensuring scalability, performance, cost and process efficiencies, and alignment to enterprise standards.
Participate or lead business process redesign as needed for new technology. Evaluate, recommend and adopt modern data warehousing technologies.
Ensure data warehouse strategies meet the present and future needs of the business by anticipating business needs, assessing patterns, and forecasting utilization trends.
Recommends changes/ enhancements for improved systems availability, reliability and performance.
Plan and design extract-transform-load (ETL) around data integrations and migrations. Manage ETL from sources to SQL databases and OLAP.
Create standards and conventions for data warehouse, and ETL systems. Sets policies and processes for managing data, and designs the datasets (tables, SQL, access design, etc.) to meet requirements.
DATA ECOSYSTEM OPTIMIZATION:
Evaluates business needs (within and outside GFS) in order to provide appropriate solutions.
Diagnoses highly complex problems. Works with stakeholders and partners. Investigates to come-up with alternative methods to expedite problem resolution. Researches, analyses and recommends the implementation of software or hardware changes to rectify any problems.
Provides input to business requirements and functional specifications for the design and implementation of solutions.
Scoping Implementation:
Leads system implementation projects from scoping, planning, testing and training, and ensuring smooth customer adoption.
Lead and oversee the development, authoring, and management of import and export scripts, test script strategies, and provide troubleshooting and issue resolution for data migration, extracts, uploads and integrations.
Determines the impact of requirements on existing architecture, work processes and systems.
Works with the impacted areas to ensure proper communication and review of requirements and integration.
DATA QUALITY AND INTEGRITY
Establishes and enforces data governance policies and standards.
Implement data quality frameworks to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency and timeliness of financial data.
Ensures data security by carrying best practices such as backups, patch management and hot fixes. Ensures that installations, configurations, and system hardware maintenance and software components.
Maintains tracking and configuration documentation and plans. Validates configurations.
Ensures adherence to security requirements.
Works with auditors, security groups, and data owners to make sure of governance, regulations, and compliance to policies and procedures
SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTISE:
Manage and provide advice and support to GFS customers and stakeholders in the team’s area of expertise such as providing guidance regarding the use of data warehouse systems, capability of systems to deliver information, and data management.
Ensure that Global Finance Solutions and other stakeholders are trained in using the existing technologies/systems and understanding processes. Ensures continuous learning and capacity building of end-users.
Participate in finance systems review, analyse and improvements to increase productivity and efficiencies of applications and systems.
BUSINESS CONTINUITY
Develops and establishes business continuity and backfilling plans.
Maintains system operating procedures and documentation.
Develops and/or participates in implementing contingency plans including reliable backup and restore procedures.
Participates in the identification of vulnerabilities and their mitigation.
