Role
You will oversee the day-to-day financial operations related to credit risk management within the Knowledge Center, with a primary focus on minimizing bad debt across assigned entities. This role requires a deep understanding of credit risk management principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to implement effective risk management strategies. Together with your team you will perform credit-granting decisions in line with internal competencies delegated to the Knowledge Center.
Your Responsibilities
Strategic Credit Oversight
- Support the Accounts Receivables Manager in achieving objectives outlined in the Compliance Plan and Risk Management Plan.
- Develop and implement credit risk strategies aligned with company policies and financial goals.
- Monitor and assess credit exposure across assigned portfolios, ensuring proactive risk mitigation.
Customer Credit Evaluation
- Conduct in-depth financial reviews with customers, including analysis of financial statements and creditworthiness assessments.
- Evaluate and recommend credit limits, terms, and conditions based on risk profiles and business potential.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a team of Credit Risk Analysts supporting regional entities, ensuring high performance and continuous development.
- Foster a culture of enthusiasm, energy, and expertise within the credit risk team.
- Collaborate closely with Branch Managers, Area Controllers, and Sales teams to address and elevate credit concerns effectively.
Credit Insurance and Risk Mitigation
- Coordinate with credit insurance providers to secure and manage credit coverage for customer accounts.
- Serve as backup support for credit insurance coordination across all Asian entities, ensuring continuity and compliance.
Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Regularly develop and analyze credit reports and customer financial statements to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Review and validate business cases submitted by KN Asian companies for approval by local and global CFOs.
- Provide timely insights and responses to management regarding business health indicators, including risk alerts, credit limit adjustments, and account suspensions.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure accurate business records and sound bookkeeping practices are maintained to support credit risk objectives.
- Work closely with Collections Teams to align on recovery strategies and customer engagement.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal stakeholders and external clients, maintaining strong professional relationships.
Cross-Functional Support
- Act as a key liaison between finance, operations, and commercial teams to ensure alignment on credit policies and customer strategies.
Qualifications
- Candidate should be resilient and manage the complex business environments and multiple stakeholders.
- A university Bachelor degree or Masters’ in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field is required.
- Minimum 5 years as credit risk manager role, understand end to end O2C processes, preferably in logistics, supply chain, or a related industry.
- Proven track experience in centralizing of knowledge-based activities for multiple countries or region including change management with countries under migration scope
- Demonstrated experience leading teams of 5 years and managing cross-functional relationships.
- Project and Senior Stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools, ERP systems (and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven experience in fostering a high-performance culture with enthusiasm and accountability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with internal stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Branch Managers, Area Controllers) and external customers.
- Skilled in conducting financial review calls and negotiating credit terms
- Strong judgment in escalating credit issues and recommending actions.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills required including time management.
