Job summary

Confidential in the Philippines seeks a seasoned Finance Controller to oversee the finance department for the Philippine entity and report to the Finance Director - APAC with dotted line to the Country Head. You will lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and governance in alignment with local regulations.

Responsibilities include managing AP, budgeting and reporting, liaising with auditors and tax authorities, and ensuring internal controls and risk management across the finance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or relevant certification preferred.
• Proven experience as a Finance Controller or similar role for at least 15 years.
• Strong knowledge of corporate governance, accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws in the Philippines.
• Experience managing accounts payables.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; accounting software experience is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the finance department, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with local accounting standards.
• Oversee the accounts payables process, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and vendor management.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Lead the accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports required by local regulatory bodies
• Ensure compliance with all government regulations, including BIR requirements and tax obligations.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and other regulatory bodies.
• Monitor cash flow, investments, and financial risks to ensure the company's financial health.
• Ensure company policies are up to date for compliance with statutory requirements and internal needs
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards (e.g., SEC, BSP).
• Provide guidance and support to the Board of Directors on financial governance issues.
• Implement and maintain proper internal controls and financial procedures.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management frameworks related to finance.
• Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and best practices in corporate governance.
