Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Finance Controller to oversee and manage all aspects of financial operations within our cosmetics manufacturing business. The ideal candidate will lead the finance team in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of financial reporting, manage tax and audit requirements, and strengthen internal controls and risk management processes to support the company's growth and sustainability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Oversee the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
- Ensure accurate and timely closing of books and financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor inventory costing, standard cost updates, and production variance reporting.
Taxation & Compliance
- Manage all statutory tax filings (VAT, Income Tax, Withholding Tax, etc.) ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Liaise with BIR and other regulatory agencies regarding audits, assessments, and compliance updates.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and corporate tax planning strategies.
Audit & Internal Controls
- Lead coordination of annual external audit, including audit schedules, document submissions, and responses to audit queries.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve internal controls across finance, procurement, production, and inventory cycles.
- Conduct or supervise internal audits to assess risks, evaluate processes, and ensure adherence to internal policies.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Drive the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes in collaboration with department heads.
- Track actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis with insights and recommendations.
Manufacturing & Cost Accounting
- Oversee cost accounting functions, including product costing, margin analysis, and manufacturing overhead allocations.
- Monitor bill of materials (BOM), production orders, and WIP (work-in-progress) inventory valuation.
Team Leadership & Process Improvement
- Manage and mentor finance team members to ensure high performance and continuous development.
- Streamline financial processes and systems for efficiency and scalability.
- Support cross-functional teams with data-driven insights for operational decisions.
Qualification And Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy; CPA required.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in financial management, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation, BIR regulations, and PFRS.
- Proven experience in cost accounting and inventory management.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- High integrity, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
