Job summary

Nexus Recruitment Group is seeking a Finance Controller in Metro Manila to oversee financial operations for a business with e-commerce and manufacturing components. Lead month-end close, GL, and internal controls, while guiding budgeting and forecasting with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in finance, CPA, and experience in fast-paced multi-entity environments such as e-commerce or manufacturing. Strong ERP knowledge and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• CPA is required.
• 8–10 years of progressive finance experience, including 3+ years in a controllership or leadership role.
• Background in BPO, shared services, or e-commerce industries preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, ERP systems, and financial reporting tools.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities with accurate reporting of financial statements.
• Manage general ledger, account reconciliations, and core accounting processes.
• Oversee internal controls, accounting policies, and audit readiness per GAAP or IFRS.
• Provide financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, cost management, and efficiency improvements.
• Manage forecasting and budgeting processes with business units and leadership teams.
• Supervise accounting and finance staff to ensure accurate processing of AP/AR/Fixed Assets/Inventory.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulators as required.
• Recommend process improvements and automation to streamline workflows.
• Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations, including tax filings.

This leadership role ensures accuracy and transparency in financial reporting, supports budgeting and forecasting efforts, and provides financial insights to help guide decision-making across departments.

The ideal candidate has a solid background in controllership, FP&A, and compliance, preferably within a fast-paced, multi-entity environment such as print manufacturing, retail, or e-commerce operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end and year-end financial closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial statements.
• Manage general ledger, account reconciliations, and all core accounting processes.
• Oversee internal controls, accounting policies, and audit readiness in accordance with applicable standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS).
• Provide financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, cost management, and operational efficiencies.
• Manage forecasting and budgeting processes, partnering with business units and leadership teams.
• Supervise accounting and finance staff to ensure accurate processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and inventory.
• Work closely with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities as required.
• Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities to streamline financial workflows.
• Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations, including tax filings and reporting requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
• 8-10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, including 3+ years in a controllership or leadership role.
• Background in BPO, shared services, or e-commerce industries is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle), and financial reporting tools.
