Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance or related field.
  • CPA qualification preferred.
  • 8–10 years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting with managerial/supervisory roles.
  • Experience in SAP HANA B1 is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in multinational, retail, distribution or FMCG/consumer business environment is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records and reporting.
  • Oversee month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings with timely reporting.
  • Manage tax compliance, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital and financial controls across SAP HANA B1 and other systems.
  • Collaborate with Management to support profitability and strategic decisions.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely schedules and documentation.

Finance Manager

The Finance Manager is responsible for the overall management and integrity of LUXASIA Retail Corporation's (LRC) finance and accounting operations. The role oversees the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports, accounting transactions, tax and statutory compliance, cash flow and working capital management, budgeting and forecasting, and financial controls.

The Finance Manager serves as a key business partner to the management team by providing accurate financial information, insights and recommendations to support business decisions, profitability and sustainable growth. The role also ensures compliance with company policies, Group standards, accounting principles and applicable Philippine laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
  • Lead the overall accounting operations of LRC, ensuring complete, accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
  • Oversee month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities and ensure compliance with reporting timelines.
  • Prepare financial statements, management reports and financial schedules.
  • Ensure proper accounting treatment and reconciliation of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Monitor the accuracy and integrity of financial data in SAP and other finance systems.
  • Provide timely financial analysis and insights to Management to support business decisions.
Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory & General Ledger
  • Oversee A/P, A/R, Inventory and General Ledger accounting activities and ensure proper controls are in place.
  • Monitor customer collections, vendor payments and working capital.
  • Review aging reports and recommend appropriate actions to address overdue receivables.
  • Ensure proper monitoring and reconciliation of inventory balances and related accounting entries.
  • Oversee open Purchase Orders, Goods Receipts and other transactions affecting financial reporting.
  • Ensure timely resolution of vendor and customer accounting queries.
Tax & Statutory Compliance
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of required tax returns and reports, including EWT, CWT and VAT.
  • Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax returns.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Philippine accounting, tax and statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors and relevant government authorities, when required.
  • Monitor tax exposures and recommend actions to mitigate financial and compliance risks.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning
  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process in partnership with business stakeholders.
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast and identify significant variances.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to improve profitability, cost efficiency and business performance.
  • Support Management in evaluating business initiatives, investments and other financial decisions.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
  • Oversee cash flow planning and working capital management.
  • Monitor cash requirements and ensure sufficient liquidity to support business operations.
  • Review and manage payment priorities in accordance with company policies and cash flow requirements.
  • Coordinate with banks and financial institutions on banking-related matters.
Internal Controls, Audit & Compliance
  • Establish and maintain effective financial and accounting controls.
  • Ensure compliance with Group finance policies, company policies and applicable accounting standards.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely submission of required schedules and supporting documents.
  • Address audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Identify financial and operational risks and recommend improvements to strengthen controls.
Systems & Process Improvement
  • Ensure effective use of SAP B1 HANA, POS and other finance systems for accounting and reporting.
  • Review existing finance processes and identify opportunities for automation, simplification and improved controls.
  • Lead finance-related system enhancements and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure proper management and maintenance of finance master data and records.
Third-Party & Stakeholder Management
  • Manage and monitor finance-related activities performed by third-party service providers, where applicable.
  • Ensure agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are properly implemented and monitored.
  • Coordinate with Group Finance on reporting requirements, finance initiatives and other matters.
  • Build effective working relationships with Sales, Marketing, Operations, HR and other functions.
Team Leadership
  • Lead, coach and develop the Finance team to ensure high standards of performance and accountability.
  • Establish clear objectives, performance expectations and priorities for the team.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support career development, training and succession planning.
  • Promote a culture of accuracy, compliance, continuous improvement and customer service within Finance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related field.
  • CPA qualification is preferred.
  • At least 8-10 years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting, with experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong experience in financial accounting, reporting, taxation, budgeting and financial controls.
  • Experience managing end-to-end accounting operations.
  • Experience in SAP HANA B1 is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a multinational, retail, distribution or FMCG/consumer business environment is an advantage.
