GM Philippines invites talented Finance and Accounting students to join as interns on a hybrid schedule. You will assist in streamlining accounting processes, perform journal entries, reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting, and participate in process improvement initiatives.

The program emphasizes data analytics using KNIME, Databricks, and Google Workspace, with opportunities to present to leadership. Applicants should be graduating or in 3rd year, with internship as an undergraduate

Qualifications

• Candidates must be graduating/3rd year college students of Finance and Accounting courses, with internship as official undergraduate requirement
• Must be willing to extend internship hours if needed and work on a hybrid set-up
• Basic accounting skills
• Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Powerpoint, etc.); Google Workspace
• KNIME, Databricks or any similar automation tools preferably trained LEAN, Six-sigma trained
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills (i.e. with high confidence to present to top management)

Responsibilities

• Initiate and complete projects to streamline accounting operations via process simplification, standardization and/or automation
• Perform (low risk) operational activities like manual journal entries, account reconciliation or budgeting and forecasting
• Participate in meetings to identify opportunities to streamline/simplify work. This may be one of below, but not limited to APM Policy review, MJE automation/reduction focused on high effort entries, and global QA tasks standardization
• Present the results of the project to GBS Leadership Lead/participate in GBS-wide engagement activities
