FinOps Weekly is seeking a specialist to support GTSO leadership with accurate financial, cost, and operational insights. The role focuses on cloud cost reporting, cost transparency, and governance across global teams, partnering with Finance, Procurement, Commercial, and BI stakeholders.

About the Role

The FinOps Specialist will support GTSO leadership by providing accurate, timely, and trusted financial, cost, and operational insights. This role acts as a central point for cost transparency, FinOps reporting, procurement data coordination, and financial governance across GTSO services. The position works closely with GTSO Service Owners, Finance, Procurement, Commercial, Digital, and BI/Data & Analytics stakeholders across global teams. Its focus is to strengthen management reporting, improve financial predictability, and support informed leadership decisions. A key part of the role is ensuring cloud cost reporting is delivered on time so cross charges can be processed within the Finance cycle. The role also contributes to FinOps process improvement and maintains confidence in management reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate monthly reporting on GTSO cost, consumption, and variance, ensuring accuracy, validation, and traceability across financial and operational sources.
  • Own and maintain BI dashboards and financial reports used by GTSO leadership, improving clarity, usability, and insight quality.
  • Coordinate procurement, invoicing, and vendor data with Finance and Commercial teams, including reconciliation of discrepancies.
  • Maintain governance standards, definitions, and control checks for financial and cost data, and support audit and management review activities.
  • Serve as the main coordination point for GTSO cost and reporting matters across global stakeholder groups.
  • Provide timely cloud cost reporting to support Finance cycle cross charges.
  • Deliver third-line support for cloud cost-related queries and issues.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with Service Owners, Finance, Procurement, and BI/Data & Analytics stakeholders.
  • Support forecasting, financial transparency, and predictability across GTSO.
  • Contribute to ongoing FinOps practice improvement and stronger management reporting.
Required Skills
  • Strong experience in financial reporting, business intelligence, financial operations, or cost management within global professional services, technology, or shared services environments.
  • Solid understanding of financial management principles, reporting processes, and cost optimization practices.
  • Proven experience producing, maintaining, and analyzing financial and operational reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to turn complex data into actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency with business intelligence, reporting, and data visualization tools.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data quality, consistency, and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently in a global, matrixed organization while managing priorities effectively.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work with both finance and non-finance audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet reporting deadlines consistently.
  • Collaborative working style.
  • Degree-level education in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Skills
  • Professional certification or advanced qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, CPA, CFA, Finance Analytics, or a related field.
  • Equivalent experience in complex global organizations.
