Job summary

Edisons Group of Companies Inc. seeks an Electrical/Mechanical Technician to diagnose and repair equipment, perform test work, and maintain equipment uptime in the field.

The ideal candidate holds a graduate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automotive Technology, has at least 1 year of electrician experience, good problem-solving skills, and can work under time pressure. Field work is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Electrical, Mechanical or Automotive Technology course.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude; ability to solve technical issues.
• Problem solving skills and close attention to detail.
• Able to work well under time pressure and in the field.
• Willing to do field work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical or mechanical systems of equipment.
• Test repair work and communicate issues to service supervisor and service coordinators.
• Conduct additional repair work as advised by supervisor.
• Replace parts and components.
• Keep detailed, organized records of all repair work done on each equipment.
• Conduct written and verbal communication and read and comprehend technical information.
• Maintain repair monitoring records and submit repair reports to immediate supervisor.
• Maximize equipment up-time through effective and efficient repair.
