Job summary

Teradyne in the Philippines is seeking a Field Service/Maintenance professional to deliver on-site technical support, installations and diagnostics for HDD systems. The role involves extended shift coverage and direct interaction with customers to ensure rapid issue resolution.

Ideal candidates have a diploma in electronics, at least 2 years in field service, and familiarity with automation, Excel, and basic C/C++ knowledge. Strong communication and ability to work under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electronics / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years experience in Field Service/Maintenance with HDD testing experience preferred.
• Good working knowledge of automation applications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of C, C++/ Visual C++ is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and English communication skills.
• Willingness to read schematics and perform soldering/desoldering.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and resolution to customers including system installations, diagnostics and identification of problem areas causing system failures.
• Work on shift rotation, providing a 24x7 field support to customers.
• Manage customer expectations with quick, clear, and proactive action delivery.
• Follow up and ensure timely closure of all customer complaints.
• Escalate service problems and take ownership until resolved.
