Job summary

Rare is implementing the Fish Forever program in Brooke’s Point, Palawan, Philippines, focusing on establishing MA+R areas and delivering capacity-building for local CFRM teams. The Site Implementation Officer coordinates with LGUs, DENR, BFAR, and other partners to ensure timely activity delivery and data-driven decisions within a community-led framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (environmental management, community development, social sciences, or fisheries).
• Experience in program implementation, community engagement, and/or partnerships.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel regularly to project sites in Southern Palawan.
• Proficiency in English and Tagalog; knowledge of Indigenous languages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate Fish Forever activities in assigned sites and clusters.
• Establish and manage partnerships to advance program goals.
• Design or improve program interventions to achieve outcomes.
• Ensure plans, outputs, and outcomes meet specifications.
• Submit reports on time and manage financial/admin tasks.
