Risewave Consulting Inc. is seeking a senior audit lead in Manila to oversee assurance engagements, ensuring timely, high-quality work and strict adherence to auditing standards. The role requires directing teams, reviewing deliverables, and coordinating with global and local teams.
Ideal candidates have a CPA license, 5+ years in accounting and audit, and 1–2 years of leadership experience. Strong knowledge of PFRS/IFRS, PSA, and taxation is essential.
Lead assurance engagements and ensure the team delivers timely, accurate, and high-quality work in accordance with established audit methodologies and client expectations. You will review audit procedures and deliverables performed by team members to ensure compliance with applicable quality, risk management, accounting, and auditing standards. You will interpret and apply relevant accounting and auditing standards, including PFRS/IFRS, US GAAP, US GAAS, and UK GAAP, as applicable.
Lead assurance engagements and ensure the team delivers timely, accurate, and high-quality work in accordance with established audit methodologies and client expectations
Review audit procedures and deliverables performed by team members to ensure compliance with applicable quality, risk management, accounting, and auditing standards
Interpret and apply relevant accounting and auditing standards, including PFRS/IFRS, US GAAP, US GAAS, and UK GAAP, as applicable
Coordinate workflow with global and local assurance teams, allocate resources, and monitor engagement progress against agreed timelines and quality standards
Monitor team utilization, budget-to-actual performance, deliverables, and other engagement-related operational matters
Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders and maintain effective working relationships with local and international teams
Lead, coach, and supervise junior team members, providing guidance and feedback to support their professional development
Identify opportunities to improve and standardize assurance processes, enhance efficiency, and leverage best practices
Identify high-potential team members and contribute to talent development, performance management, and succession planning
Support risk management and quality assurance initiatives across assigned engagements
Bachelor's degree in BS Accountancy or equivalent accounting-related degree
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and audit, with external audit experience required
At least 1-2 years of leadership, supervisory, or team management experience
Strong understanding of accounting principles and auditing standards
Strong knowledge of PFRS/IFRS, Philippine Standards on Auditing (PSA), and taxation
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within tight deadlines
