Job summary

Factor1 is seeking a skilled Paraplanner based in the PH team to prepare Statements of Advice (SOAs) for Australian financial advisers. You will work with autonomy across superannuation, investments, insurance, retirement planning, SMSF and estate planning, ensuring compliance and client-ready documentation.

You will conduct financial modelling, cashflow projections and comparative analyses, manage multiple SOAs to meet deadlines, and continuously update knowledge of regulatory frameworks.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of paraplanning across financial planning strategies.
• Ability to prepare SOAs and ROAs with accuracy and compliance.
• Experience with Australian regulatory frameworks.

• Prepare comprehensive, compliant SOAs across superannuation, investments, insurance, retirement planning, SMSF, and estate planning strategies.

About the role

The Paraplanner is a key member of the Advice & Paraplanning Team, responsible for the end-to-end preparation of Statements of Advice (SOAs) for the firm's Advisers. This role requires a high level of technical competence across superannuation, investments, insurance, retirement planning, SMSF, and estate planning strategies. The Paraplanner works with a high degree of autonomy, preparing compliant and client-ready advice documents with minimal supervision while ensuring all outputs meet the firm's quality, compliance, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

About you

• Advanced Diploma of Paraplanning, Diploma of Financial Planning, or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3–5 years of paraplanning experience supporting Australian financial advisers.
• Demonstrated experience preparing SOAs and ROAs across a broad range of financial planning strategies.
• Strong working knowledge of Australian superannuation, insurance, and investment regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with Xplan(ideal)/AdviserLogic and related financial planning software.
• Advanced technical knowledge across superannuation, investments, insurance, retirement planning, SMSF, and estate planning.
• Advanced financial modelling and cashflow projection skills.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to present complex strategies in clear, client-friendly language.
