EY GLOBAL DELIVERY SERVICES (GDS) PHILIPPINES is seeking an Experienced Associate – Direct Tax to support tax compliance engagements across jurisdictions. You will develop core tax knowledge, collaborate with international teams, and contribute to delivering accurate tax deliverables in a dynamic environment.
Based in Manila with hybrid work, you will handle withholding tax, CITRs, and tax forecasts, while staying current on BEPS Pillar Two developments and client-specific tax requirements.
Experienced Associate – Direct Tax (DT)
As an Experienced Associate – Direct Tax, you will play a key supporting role in the execution of tax compliance engagements across multiple jurisdictions. You will be part of a growing global team, gaining hands‑on experience in a dynamic tax environment while collaborating with colleagues and clients. This role is focused on developing your core technical tax knowledge and professional execution skills.
In this role, you will support clients in adapting to a rapidly evolving business landscape, including staying current on developments like BEPS Pillar Two and its implementation across various jurisdictions worldwide.
Your key responsibilities
You will spend your time supporting client engagements by preparing work products, developing working relationships, and timely executing core tax compliance tasks:
Prepare withholding tax returns and supporting schedules under the guidance of a Senior Associate or Manager.
Assist in the preparation of corporate income tax returns (CITRs), CITR payment initiation and other related compliance activities.
Prepare cash tax forecasts by jurisdiction and report to clients on a monthly or quarterly basis.
Collect supporting documents for and prepare balance sheet tax account reconciliations, working with clients on reconciling items.
Consult with EY country teams, where necessary.
Other Tax function/s – Assist with special tax compliance projects, including support for BEPS Pillar Two initiatives and other client‑specific tax requirements.

To qualify for the role, you must have
A bachelor’s degree in accounting with approximately two to three years of related work experience.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred but not required.
Strong tax compliance and technical background, including experience in corporate income tax return preparation, withholding tax return preparation, tax reconciliations and other related activities across different countries and jurisdictions.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel: dynamic tables, intermediate-advanced formulas, etc.
The ability to prioritize when working on multiple projects.
Available to work in McKinley West (Taguig City) office in hybrid arrangement.
