Job summary

Asian Development Bank invites applications for a Principal Communications Specialist based in Manila. You will lead the President’s communications, shaping messages across speeches, media, social channels, and events to align with leadership vision.

You will report to the Head of the President Support Unit, collaborate across departments, and ensure timely, accurate communications while safeguarding ADB’s brand. Relocation is provided.

Qualifications

• Master's degree (or equivalent) in Communications, Journalism, Public Policy, International Development, or related field.
• At least 12 years of relevant professional experience, including international exposure.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Support development and drive implementation of the President’s communications and engagement strategy.
• Liaise with OPR, DOCK, and other departments on plan priorities and actions.
• Oversee drafting, editing, and production of speeches, talking points, briefs, and video scripts.
• Ensure quality control and coherence of external and internal materials.
• Coordinate media relations, interviews, press conferences, and news materials.
• Contribute to the President’s social media presence and content planning.
• Monitor effectiveness using performance data and provide reports.
