Job summary

RippedBoxStation in Manila, Philippines, is seeking a junior ETL/ELT Developer to assist in building data pipelines using Informatica, Talend, or Azure Data Factory. You will work under senior engineers on data integration projects.

You will gain hands-on experience with SQL, data warehousing concepts, and data validation, while collaborating with Data Engineers and BI developers in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.
0-2 years in ETL development or data integration.
Basic understanding of ETL/ELT concepts.
Familiarity with Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory, or SSIS.
Basic SQL and relational DB knowledge.
Understanding of data warehousing concepts.
Familiarity with Git is an advantage.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Ability to work in Agile environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines.
Support data mappings, transformations, and workflows for multi-source data.
Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes under senior guidance.
Perform unit testing, debugging, and validation for data quality.
Monitor scheduled workflows and resolve basic data issues.
Support data migration, cleansing, and transformation for analytics.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation and specs.
Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI Developers, DBAs, and Analysts.
Follow data governance, security, and ETL standards.
Participate in bug fixes and simple feature improvements.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines using tools such as Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory, or similar platforms.
Support the design and implementation of data mappings, transformations, and workflows to integrate data from multiple sources.
Develop and maintain data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) processes under the guidance of senior engineers.
Perform unit testing, debugging, and validation of ETL jobs to ensure data quality and accuracy.
Assist in monitoring scheduled workflows, identifying failures, and resolving basic data integration issues.
Support data migration, cleansing, and transformation activities for reporting and analytics initiatives.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, mapping specifications, and process documentation.
Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI Developers, Database Administrators, and Business Analysts to support project requirements.
Follow data governance, security, and ETL development standards.
Participate in bug fixes, performance improvements, and simple feature enhancements as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
0-2 years of experience in ETL development, data integration, database development, or a related role.
Basic understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration principles.
Familiarity with at least one ETL tool such as Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or similar.
Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
Understanding of data warehousing concepts and database design principles.
Familiarity with version control tools such as Git is an advantage.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively under supervision in an Agile development environment.
