Job summary

S&P Global is seeking an ESG Data Analyst to transform complex environmental, social, and governance data into actionable insights. You will produce analyses, reports, and models with a focus on accuracy and timely delivery while identifying data issues and driving improvements.

The role requires 2+ years of ESG or related data analysis experience and proficiency with SQL, Python/R, or advanced Excel. A hybrid work setup with in-office presence is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in data analysis, particularly within ESG, financial data, or a related field.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python/R, or advanced Excel for data extraction, manipulation and reporting.
• Ability to assess urgency, prioritize tasks, and contribute to team discussions toward shared goals.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality ESG data analyses, reports, and models in a timely manner.
• Identify data-related problems and suggest process improvements within the ESG domain.
• Apply detailed analytical skills to interpret complex ESG datasets for accuracy and issue detection.
• Support team goals by contributing to the development of new ESG data products or enhancements.
• Understand and align work with S&P Global’s purpose and values to support sustainable market practices.
• All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
