Job summary

A leading semiconductor company is looking for a Process Sustaining Engineer in Davao City. This role focuses on providing technical and sustaining engineering support in manufacturing, improving production efficiencies, and conducting statistical analyses. Ideal candidates should have a degree in Mechanical, Electronics, or Chemical Engineering, along with at least a year of molding process experience. Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience in molding process.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Process Sustaining Engineer: Provides technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area. Recommends and implements equipment and process modifications to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques and production yields for existing products. Develops and conducts statistical analysis such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) targeting physical cause of failure for yield loss and improving quality. Interacts with product design and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible. Documents Process, Equipment's & Malt's Qualifications prior implementation.

Responsibilities

Create, analyze, and review technical charts.
Develop and modify process formulations, methods, and controls to meet quality standards.
Establish SOP (Standard operating process), FMEA (Failure mode and effects analysis), and Control Plan for related process.
Review product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods to determine costs and schedules.
Integrate equipment and material capabilities to meet process module and technology specificationsli>
Drive CIP (Continuous improvement plans) to improve process performance indices.
Work with cross functions teams to deliver organizational goals.
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.
Work and collaborate on other projects and/or assignments as needed.
Shows mastery of some aspects of a technical discipline, with recognition for his/her contributions as a technical team member.
Initiative and creativity are exercised within limits defined by job scope.
Uses standard engineering methods to analyze and resolve problems.
Works on projects, assignments, and problems of moderate scope.

Qualifications

Must be either graduate in the field of BS in Mechanical or Electronics & Communications or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience in molding process.

Skills and Knowledge Requirement

Technical expertise: Requires working knowledge of most major areas of specialized field and a work history demonstrating successful application of problem analysis tools, techniques/methodologies for effective problem identification/prioritization and resolution.
Good understanding of the EMC Material characteristics and its interaction with the Process 5Ms (Man, Method, Machine, Milieu…) and EMC material characteristics – Adhesion to diff interfaces, Viscosity-Time Curve, etc.
Develops solutions to problems which have been clearly defined and have similar precedents available. Problem analysis often involves selecting the best alternative method or process from among several existing alternatives. Actively participates in a team to solve process problems/ issues.

Decision Making

Makes decision or provides recommendation related to specific tasks. Major or unusual issues require referral to a supervisor, manager or higher-level technical staff.

Planning

Requires planning for effective execution of multiple, simultaneous tasks which require the scheduling of independent activities, resources or time schedules.
