Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking an Environmental Compliance Officer to ensure regulatory adherence, monitor waste, emissions and wastewater, and prepare regulatory reports for authorities in the Philippines.

This on-site role is based in Cavite/ Rosario and requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field along with a Pollution Control Officer certification. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, with experience in environmental management and regulatory compliance preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Accredited Pollution Control Officer certification as required by local regs.
• Knowledge of environmental laws, regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in environmental management and regulatory compliance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permit requirements.
• Monitor waste management, emissions, wastewater, and other environmental aspects of operations.
• Prepare and submit environmental reports and regulatory documents.
• Coordinate environmental inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
• Conduct environmental awareness and compliance training for employees.
• Liaise with government agencies, including DENR.
• Implement pollution prevention, resource conservation, and sustainability programs.
• Investigate environmental incidents and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
