Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering is required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer with accredited Pollution Control Officer (PCO) certification is required.
• Minimum of three years of environmental compliance experience in manufacturing, processing, or general industrial settings is required.
• Experience with automated environmental monitoring equipment, continuous emission systems, and enterprise management software is preferred.

Responsibilities

TheEnvironment Specialist develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates environmental protection and enhancement programs to ensure full compliance with organizational standards, operational directives, and applicable government regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Program Implementation: Oversees environmental programs focused on measuring, managing, and mitigating the environmental impact of operational facilities and technical processes.
• Pollution Monitoring & Control: Serves as the designated Pollution Control Officer (PCO), providing technical expertise across air quality, water treatment, and emission management to maintain compliance with local regulatory frameworks.
• Project Consultation: Provides environmental input during the planning, risk assessment, and execution phases of capital and operational expansion projects.
• Reporting & Analytics: Compiles required regulatory filings and supply executive leadership with accurate, timely environmental data to support strategic decision-making.
• Stakeholder Relations: Maintains positive, professional relationships with regulatory agencies, local government units, and external community organizations to foster trust and uphold corporate reputation.
• Systems Maintenance: Coordinates with engineering and operations teams to ensure the reliable operation, calibration, and maintenance of environmental monitoring systems and control equipment.
• Waste Management: Directs internal waste strategies as the designated Waste Manager—planning safe handling and disposal protocols, managing operational budgets, and ensuring compliance with waste handling standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering.
