The Enterprise Senior Software Development Specialist is a senior technical role responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, integrating, and maintaining enterprise-grade software applications and platforms. The position provides technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle and ensures that solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, maintainable, and aligned with business and technology strategies.
The role works closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, project managers, DevOps teams, cybersecurity teams, and other technology specialists to deliver high-quality software solutions that support critical enterprise operations.
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise software applications and services.
Develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions using established development standards and best practices.
Translate business and technical requirements into effective software designs and implementation plans.
Perform complex programming, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
Develop reusable components, frameworks, APIs, and services to improve development efficiency.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, architecture principles, and security practices.
Refactor and modernize legacy applications where appropriate.
Collaborate with solution and enterprise architects to ensure applications align with enterprise architecture standards.
Design and implement integrations between enterprise applications, databases, APIs, cloud platforms, and third-party systems.
Evaluate technologies, frameworks, and development approaches and recommend appropriate solutions.
Contribute to technical architecture, application modernization, and digital transformation initiatives.
Ensure interoperability, scalability, and maintainability across enterprise systems.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to software developers and development teams.
Mentor junior and mid-level developers and promote knowledge sharing and technical excellence.
Lead or participate in technical design sessions, architecture reviews, and solution assessments.
Establish and promote software development standards, patterns, and best practices.
Support technical decision-making and provide recommendations on complex development challenges.
Ensure software solutions meet enterprise requirements for performance, availability, scalability, security, and maintainability.
Implement and promote secure software development practices.
Identify and address application vulnerabilities, technical debt, performance issues, and operational risks.
Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and system tests.
Support production releases, incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and problem management.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software quality and operational stability.
Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to implement effective CI/CD processes.
Support automated build, testing, deployment, monitoring, and release management practices.
Contribute to cloud adoption, containerization, infrastructure automation, and platform engineering initiatives where applicable.
Ensure applications are properly documented and operationally supported.
Work with business stakeholders and product teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical dependencies and delivery issues.
Provide technical estimates, feasibility assessments, and recommendations for projects and initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Typically 3+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in an enterprise environment.
Strong experience in software design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies and engineering best practices.
Experience developing enterprise applications, APIs, services, and system integrations.
Strong knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases.
Experience with source control, automated testing, CI/CD, and modern development practices.
Understanding of application security, performance optimization, scalability, and reliability principles.
Experience with several of the following is preferred:
