Job summary

Century Pacific Food, Inc. is seeking an API Architect to be the foremost technical authority on API architecture. You will establish architectural vision, design patterns, and engineering standards governing how APIs are built, integrated, and evolved across the enterprise.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
8–10 years in software development, systems integration, or API development.
3–5 years in Architecture, Solution Architect, or API Architect roles.
Strong knowledge of API technologies such as REST, GraphQL, and microservices.
Experience with API management platforms and integration tools.
Cloud platforms knowledge (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
Understanding of API security standards including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and JWT.
Experience designing enterprise integration solutions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Define and maintain the enterprise API architecture blueprint across all systems and digital products.
Establish API design standards, style guides, patterns, and guardrails for internal, partner, and public APIs.
Lead the API Architecture Review Board and govern design approvals for significant API changes and platform onboarding.
Drive API portfolio decisions — build vs. buy vs. integrate — aligned to strategy.
Manage technical debt and rationalize legacy points toward target-state architecture.
Define integration architecture across applications, clouds, and partner ecosystems.
Govern data consistency and API contracts across systems.
Lead service mesh and API connectivity strategy for microservices and hybrid clouds.
Provide architectural oversight for API-driven platform implementations and digital transformation.
Translate business requirements into scalable API solutions.
