Grandspan Development Corporation is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering Department in delivering accurate, practical, and cost-effective engineering solutions for structural steel fabrication projects.

You will oversee engineering design, detailing, estimating, drafting, and project coordination, ensuring all deliverables comply with client requirements, engineering standards, and project specifications.

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Licensed Civil Engineer).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the structural steel fabrication industry, including engineering management.
• Extensive experience in structural steel detailing and estimating (shop drawings, take-offs, cost estimation).
• Strong knowledge of structural steel design, codes, and standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and detailing/estimating software.

Mansioni

• Lead and manage the Engineering Department, including detailing, estimating, drafting, and personnel.
• Oversee design, shop drawings, erection drawings, fabrication drawings, and project estimates.
• Review RFQs, specs, drawings, and contracts for accurate project interpretation.
• Ensure deliverables are accurate, competitive, and on schedule and within quality standards.
• Coordinate with clients, PMs, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Establish standards, cost databases, and best practices to improve estimating and detailing.
• Conduct site inspections and meetings to provide technical support.
• Monitor performance, prepare reports, and drive continuous improvements.
• Mentor, train, and develop engineering personnel.
