Job summary

Office Beacon (Philippines), Inc. is seeking an Engineering Estimator to deliver accurate cost estimates for civil, mechanical, and electrical projects across client environments. You'll review drawings, perform BOMs, and build pricing models to support bids.

The role requires 3–5 years in cost estimation, strong Excel and ERP experience, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to meet tight deadlines. This on-site position is based at Clark Freeport Zone.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical/Civil/Electrical/Industrial/Manufacturing).
• 3+ years of experience in engineering estimation, cost engineering, proposal engineering, or project costing.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in global teams.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates while meeting aggressive deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review customer RFQs, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, fabrication, machining, installation, and subs contracted services.
• Perform quantity take-offs and develop Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Analyze project scope, assumptions, risks, and cost drivers for accuracy.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, production, and sales teams for inputs.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Develop pricing models and identify cost optimization through value engineering.
• Support bid preparation, proposals, and tender submissions.
• Maintain estimating databases, historical cost records, and templates.
• Compare estimated costs with actuals and drive improvement.
• Ensure compliance with client standards and quality requirements.
