Job summary

FHLB Des Moines is seeking an Engineer II - Quality in the Philippines to assist in managing supplier quality in the Semiconductor industry. Responsibilities include overseeing subcontractor performance, conducting quality audits, and driving improvements in assembly tests.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Science or Engineering and have at least 2-3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in English and knowledge of Quality Systems are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in the Semiconductor industry.
• Experience working with various suppliers across Asia is advantageous.
• Familiarity with IC Assembling and Testing processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review subcontractors' scorecard and follow up on improvements.
• Coordinate quality activities in subcons.
• Perform audits at subcontractors’ sites and follow up on corrective actions.

This person is to be stationed in Malaysia.**Responsibilities*** Manage and review periodically subcontractors’ scorecard and follow up on improvements.* Coordinate quality activities in subcons* Perform audit at subcontractors’ site and follow up until closure of all audits corrective action.* Drive subcontractors’ improvement program.* Drive and coach subcontractor on permanent solution for customer returns related to assembly test, and Shipping Distribution (when necessary).* Responsible for timely closure of all 8Ds and corrective actions.* Establish Best Known Method or Good Manufacturing Practices across all subcontractors.* Manage and dispose all on hold lots at supplier.* Participate in Microchip’s NPI activities, either in assembly or test.**Interact With*** SQE personnel from other Microchip sites.* QA personnel from other Microchip sites eg Mtai, Mphil, US* PE, CQE, CQM and relevant staff from other Microchip sites.* All Microchip Suppliers/Subcontractors.* Raw material suppliers (when necessary)**Requirements/Qualifications:****Minimum Mandatory requirements*** A Master/Degree in Science (Physics/Chemistry/Statistics/Material) or Engineering (Mech/Elect/Electronics/Chemical)* Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Semiconductor industry* Worked in any OEM or suppliers for assembly or test function* Worked with various cross functional teams* Experienced working with various suppliers across Asia will be advantageous* Good command of English language.**Other Attributes (added advantage)*** Good process knowledge about IC Assembling and Testing (FOL/EOL/Testing).* Good understanding on Jedec/IPC and Mil Std requirements for SMD packages.* Good coordination, monitoring and follow up skills on issues and projects.* It is an advantage to have good understanding on QC tools & automotive core tools as well as Quality System based on ISO/TS.* Good analytical skill and ability to solve problems based on known problem solving methodology.**Travel Time:**0% - 25%**To all recruitment agencies**: *Microchip Technology Inc. **does not** accept unsolicited agency resumes.
