Job summary

Maersk Filipinas Crewing Inc. (Marine People Philippines) is seeking a competent Wiper with seagoing experience to join our technically advanced container vessels.

The role offers training and development within Maersk's global operations, with emphasis on health, safety, and equal opportunity. The candidate must have 12 months sea service on foreign-going ships, English proficiency, and STCW-compliant certificates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months sea service on foreign going ships.
• Working knowledge of spoken English.
• Basic knowledge of ISM, ISPS, and security duties.
• Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Knowledge of Emergency Procedures (Fire-Abandonship-Man overboard-Oil Spill).
• Awareness of Safety meetings, reporting near miss, incidents, accidents.
• Certificates compliant to STCW 2010 Manila amendments requirements.
• Minimum 12 months experience as Welder from Shipyard or work in any relevant Welding industry.

Responsibilities

• Use of engine room tools.
• Function operation and repairs of various machineries and pumps in the engine room.
• Technical terms used in the engine room.
