Job summary

88 Aces Maritime Services Incorporated seeks an Oiler to assist with engine room operations aboard our vessels. You will participate in watches, help maintain machinery, and keep spaces clean and safe while supporting daily shipboard tasks.

The role requires familiarity with SOLAS, MARPOL, and flag state regulations, plus the ability to use hand and power tools and workshop equipment. Strong teamwork and safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Familiar with SOLAS, MARPOL and flag state regulations.
• Knowledge of maintenance for auxiliary machinery (compressors, purifiers, pumps, incinerators).
• Ability to use hand and power tools and workshop equipment.
• Understanding of waste management and eco-friendly practices.

Responsibilities

• Participate in engine room watches at sea and in port as instructed.
• Assist with daily engine room operations and maintenance; ensure lubrication of machinery.
• Perform engine room housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Help maintain stores inventory as delegated by the 1st Assistant Engineer.
• Comply with safety, environmental, and security procedures and regulations.
