Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Quality Engineer in Batangas, Philippines, onsite at First Philippine Industrial Park. The role focuses on quality evaluation, control systems, and ensuring conformance to customer and contract requirements.

The candidate will develop testing plans, work on PPAP elements, and implement proactive quality strategies while collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve nonconformances and improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Initiate NCRs and conduct preliminary reviews of NCR details, including coordination with authorized material review board.
• Provide analysis and recommendations for corrective actions for nonconformities and/or design problems for manufactured products and processes.
• Review Engineering Change Request through DCR, JIRA, LBIR, PR.
• Analyze the details behind the quality issues.
• Participate during cross functional team meetings in the identification of the root cause and corrective action to address quality issues.
• Learnings: Identification of product and process risk, operational risk.
• Learnings: Initiate projects for improvement of Business Unit processes.
• Learnings: Conduct review to ensure all requirements are met for work transfer and process change management.
• Learnings: Review process control documentation to ensure it is in compliance with requirements, objectives, and/or contracts.

Description

• Quality Engineer develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation, control systems and protocols.


• Works with designs and specifications, devises testing plans, methods and equipment to assure reliability of product.


• Collaborates internally to ensure quality standards are in effect.


• Ensures that projects and process control documents are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts.


• Identifies and manages risk in product development (primarily utilizing and driving Production Part Approval Process (PAPP) core elements e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, etc.).


• Develops and implements proactive quality strategies. Performs Escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommends corrective action(s).


• Ensures all requirements are met for work transfer and process change management (e.g. Resourcing Gate and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) acceptance).


• Designs and implements product engineering changes to satisfy quality issues raised by customers.


• Supports the development and maintenance of inspection technologies or methodologies to assure product conformance.
