Job summary

JPMorganChase in the Philippines seeks a Data Scientist to support portfolio valuation and risk management within the Mortgage Servicing Rights team. You will partner with modelers, stakeholders, and tech teams to design tools and analyses that improve decision-making. You will manage delivery end-to-end, ensuring outputs are timely, well-tested, and documented.

You will apply strong data management and governance standards to ensure trusted results and impactful insights for business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field and 2+ years in data-focused development or analytics roles.
• Advanced Python proficiency for data analysis and production-quality code.
• SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Experience with machine learning and statistical modeling incl. time-series forecasting.
• Knowledge of fixed income analytics and related valuation/risk concepts.
• Experience applying AI methods to business problems.
• Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, decision-ready communication.
• Strong software and systems analysis, including requirements translation.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, organize, and analyze data using various sources and tools.
• Develop, test, and maintain Python utilities for valuation and risk analytics workflows.
• Support valuation and risk processes by managing data access and inputs.
• Gather requirements and implement analytical tooling into a proprietary platform.
• Translate business needs into datasets and models for valuation and analysis.
• Apply modern product delivery practices to improve usability and reliability.
• Manage projects end-to-end with scope, milestones, and quality control.
• Deliver data-driven insights and analytical support to stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to data governance and security standards.
• Document processes, definitions, and assumptions for audit-ready outputs.
• Identify opportunities to improve data tools and analytics capabilities.
