Job summary

Amazon Data Services Spain, S.L. is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager to lead construction projects for our data centers.

You will own project scope, timeline and budget, interfacing with general contractors from bidding through closeout to ensure high-quality delivery. The role requires a strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering, experience moving designs to deployment, and proficiency with Excel/Word/Windows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in electrical or mechanical field; related fields may be considered.
• Experience taking new design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Windows operating systems; able to analyze data.

Responsibilities

• Construction project management and oversight of related activities for data centre builds at a site.
• Interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution and closeout phases.
• Collaborate with contractors and vendors to deliver efficient project turnovers and high-quality results.
• Lead negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids with detail and accuracy.
• Create construction project scope and solicitations; manage capital requests and invoicing.
• Oversee construction for initiatives to increase data centre resiliency; review electrical/mechanical designs.
• Review submittals and support commissioning activities; report key metrics to team.
