Job summary

Thales, based in Makati, Philippines, seeks a Software Engineer for the Embedded software - applications team to design, implement, validate and deploy embedded applications for major OEM smartphone customers.

Responsibilities include SIM/eSIM/eSE Javacard development, validation across OS versions, and contributing to build/integration improvements; 3–5 years of experience and a degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering are required.

As a Software Engineer in the Embedded software - applications team, you will participate in the design, implementation, validation and deployment of Embedded applications products to the major OEM smartphone customers.

SIM/embedded SIM/embedded secure element applications/applets

• You will participate in the development of new and maintenance of existing SIM/eSIM/eSE javacard applications
• You will participate in the validation of applications over various SIM//eSIM/eSE card OS and integrate in the OS automatic builds
• You will contribute to continuous improvement efforts: product and development methodology improvement (e.g. automatic build/integrations)

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

To succeed in this job, you must have skills on:

• Java/Javacard/VB/C programming languages
• You must have a Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering or related fields
• Strong on debugging/analysis/logic
• You must be a team player and a fast learner
• Knowledge of embedded technology/ecosystem, software security or Javacard
• 3-5 years of experience as software engineer role
• Keen in various improvements (team/process/projects)
