Job description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Electronics Repair Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of electronic gadgets and devices (including smartphones, laptops, audio equipment, circuit boards, and other consumer or industrial hardware).

The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, hands-on mechanical aptitude, and experience with micro-soldering and circuit testing. You will ensure all repairs meet our strict quality control standards while delivering exceptional service and timely turnarounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnosis & Testing: Inspect, test, and diagnose faulty electronic devices, components, and assemblies using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and specialized testing software.
• Component-Level Repair: Perform precision repairs, including micro-soldering, surface-mount device (SMD) replacement, circuit board trace repair, screen replacements, and battery swaps.
• Troubleshooting: Trace circuits, identify electrical or mechanical failures, and determine cost-effective repair solutions.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect repaired equipment to ensure it meets original manufacturer specifications and performance standards before returning it to inventory or the customer.
• Maintenance & Restoration: Clean, recondition, update firmware, and perform preventive maintenance on devices.
• Documentation & Tracking: Accurately log repair details, parts used, labor time, and technical diagnostic notes into the internal management system.
• Inventory Management: Monitor spare parts stock, request replacements as needed, and ensure proper handling/disposal of sensitive or hazardous materials (e.g., lithium-ion batteries).

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree, Trade School Diploma, or Vocational Certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
• Experience: 1-3 years of hands-on experience in electronics repair, hardware support, or bench technician roles.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency with soldering equipment (hot air rework stations, fine-tip soldering irons).
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Experience using diagnostic tools (multimeters, power supplies, logic analyzers).
