Overview

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

The Electronics Engineer will be supporting the PMG Technical Services Group in all the activities which consist of all aspects of electronics and communications engineering works.

This position is on-call and will be assigned to various project location.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze system requirements, capacity, cost, and customer needs to determine the feasibility of the project and develop a system plan
  • Confer with engineers, customers, vendors, and others to discuss existing and potential engineering projects or products
  • Review and evaluate the work of others, inside and outside the organization, to ensure effectiveness, technical adequacy, and compatibility in the resolution of complex engineering problems
  • Evaluate operational systems, prototypes, and proposals and recommend repair or design modifications based on factors such as environment, service, cost, and system capabilities
  • Coordinate activities concerned with construction, installation, maintenance, operation, and modification of electronic equipment, products, and systems
  • Prepare engineering designs and specifications for construction, relocation, and installation of equipment, facilities, products, and systems
  • Plan and implement research, methodology, and procedures to apply principles of electronic theory to engineering projects
  • Prepare, review, and maintain maintenance schedules, design documentation, and operational reports and charts
  • Design Electronic Systems, products, software and components for scientific, military, medical, industrial and commercial applications
  • Create testing procedures and maintenance for electronic equipment and components.
  • Facility assessment and recommend design modifications and repairs
  • Inspect electronic systems, instruments, and equipment to ensure they meet applicable regulations and safety standards
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Electronics Engineering
  • License Electronics and Communications Engineering is required (ECE)
  • Minimum of 8-10 years in design and/or field experience
  • Adequate relevant training
  • Excellent oral and written communication and skills
  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills and a creative approach to new technologies
  • Must be physically fit and willing to travel
  • Possess a Philippine Passport and a Driver’s License.
