OceanaGold (Philippines) Inc. seeks a skilled Electrician - Mobile to perform routine and breakdown maintenance on surface equipment at the Didipio mine in the Philippines. The role focuses on electrical troubleshooting, installation of accessories, and reliable service of heavy machinery.

The ideal candidate has at least seven years in mining or heavy industries, TESDA NC-II or higher, and a valid driver’s license. On-site accommodation, meals, health insurance, and travel support are offered.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance and troubleshooting on surface equipment.

• Install electrical accessories on light and heavy equipment and estimate material needs.
• Document maintenance through work orders and PRONTO.

Job Description

The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper.Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.

OceanaGold is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliableElectrician - Mobile(Auto-Electrician), who perform routine maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and servicing of automotive electrical and electronic systems ensuring target availability on all production equipment through work quality, cost‑efficient, environmentally, and safe manners.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance and troubleshooting on all Surface Equipment
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance and troubleshooting on all Surface Equipment
• Diagnose and undertake electrical repair on a wide variety of vehicles and equipment
• Undertake electrical installation of accessories of Light and Heavy equipment and provide an estimation of electrical materials during repairs
• Carries out testing equipment and uses computers in mapping out electrical pathways and locating electronic problems or malfunctions in the system
• Document equipment maintenance thru work orders and PRONTO
• Suggest ways to prevent future equipment malfunction or improve equipment performance or safety.
• Perform tool‑keeping and housekeeping duties and takes accountability on issued toolroom tools and equipment to ensure they are kept tidy, safe to use and complete

Qualifications

• Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Values and the OceanaGold Way
• Automotive Electrician graduate or TESDA NC-II certified
• Vocational Trade School graduate/Certificate in Industrial Electricity and Automotive or equivalent work experience.
• At least seven (7) years experienced as Electrician-Mobile in mining, cement, power, or other heavy industries
• Experience in servicing Toyota Hilux/Fortuner, HOWO Dump Trucks, Terex Crane, Volvo loader, Caterpillar Equipment, and Atlas Copco Generator Set an advantage
• Familiar with tools for the right job and proficient in troubleshooting and diagnosing
• Motor rewinding and auto rewinding
• With a valid Professional Driver’s license
• Computer Literate with experience using PRONTO and INX is an advantage
