The Electrician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. This role involves diagnosing electrical issues, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and delivering reliable, high-quality work.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical schematics
- Install, maintain, and repair wiring, lighting systems, circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical components
- Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, or necessary repairs
- Troubleshoot malfunctioning systems and perform corrective actions
- Knowledge of Electrical Wiring and CCTV/FDAS Installation.
- Test electrical systems using tools such as multimeters, voltmeters, and cable testers
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations
- Connect electrical systems to power supplies and verify proper operation
- Work with contractors and other trades to complete projects effectively
- Maintain detailed records of performed work, materials used, and system performance
- Follow strict safety protocols and use protective equipment as required
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an electrician apprenticeship or vocational training program(NC2 Certificate)
- Valid electrician license or certification (as required by jurisdiction)
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and diagrams
- Proficiency in using electrical testing tools and equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Physical ability to lift, climb, crouch, and work in confined spaces
- Good communication and teamwork skills
