Job summary

AboitizPower Corp is hiring an Electrical QA/QC Engineer for our Laoag project in Ilocos Norte. The role focuses on implementing quality controls for instrumentation, controls, and construction, ensuring compliance with codes and the Quality Management System.

You will work with the Project Development and Execution Team to deliver quality results, maintain documentation, and drive improvements across QA/QC activities in a dynamic energy environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• At least five years of related experience and a Registered Electrical Engineer (REE).
• Strong QA/QC, inspection, and documentation capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Implement electrical QA/QC procedures, guidelines, and specifications for the project.
• Monitor and manage the QA/QC system to ensure compliance with national/international standards.
• Develop inspection/test standards and oversee testing methods and quality across processes.
• Review supplier inspection procedures and qualifications of personnel.
• Inspect final output against requirements and approve or reject products.
• Lead or assist technicians and teams to execute test schedules and quality audits.

Electrical QA/QC Engineer

As Electrical QA/QC Engineer, you will be responsible in implementing project quality to ensure compliance to codes, standards, regulations, equipment specific specifications, and Quality Management System requirements for instrumentation, controls and communication works including manufacturing process, inspection and test plans, material production and construction methodology to ensure safe delivery of quality product or services both on time and within agreed budgets in coordination with the Project Development and Execution Team and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with the Project Development and Execution Team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Implements the established electrical quality procedures, guidelines, standards, and specifications for the project.
• Monitors and Implements the Quality Assurance and Quality Control management system of the project.
• Ensure work processes are in compliance with both national and international standards.
• Develop and determine all standards to perform inspection and tests on all procedures and oversee all testing methods and maintain high standards of quality for all processes.
• Analyze all products and non-conformance processes and evaluate all documents to ensure the maintenance of optimal quality and prepare monthly reports to evaluate performance
• Review the quality of all materials at the site and ensure compliance with all project specifications and quality and collaborate with the department for all material procurement and maintain a quality of materials.
• Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection and Test Plan including site acceptance tests, and factory acceptance tests, and testing and commissioning of the power plant project.
• Review supplier inspection procedures and personnel qualifications.
• Inspecting the final output, comparing it to the requirements, and approving or rejecting the final products.
• Ensure that the quality control related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards
• Direct, lead or assist technicians, inspectors, and other Company staff to ensure that they perform their duties in line with established quality procedures.
• Direct, lead or assist the effective implementation of all test and inspection schedules and ensure adherence to all procedures and coordinate with various teams to perform quality audits on processes.
• Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the quality control processes and specifications. Recommend and implement improvements when required and training staff to use them
• Responsible for QA/QC documents of the complete project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered, and other important QA/QC documents.
• Tabulate and document data relating to products, processes, materials, its qualities and reliabilities.
• Troubleshoot and assist to resolve problems relating to quality control aspects.
• Research, study, compile and prepare material on quality control activities, processes and procedures.
• Orient staff, technicians and professionals on the aspects of quality control activities
• Manage to lift all types of equipment and handle the efficient storage of all hazardous materials and perform quality audits as per the required schedule.

What You Will Need:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• At least five [5] years of experience in related field,
• Registered Electrical Engineer

Technical / Functional Skills:

• Proficiency in secondary and primary voltage system, metering, substation and transmission line system of the plant and Computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outline, etc.
• Strong skills in Management, Problem Solving and Decision Making
