Job summary

SPX PHILIPPINES INC. is seeking a licensed Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design for automated warehouse projects, including ASM control systems and distribution networks.

You will review electrical drawings, support tendering and installation, and guide preventive maintenance after commissioning, ensuring safety and reliability with a focus on quality and vendor coordination in Meycauayan, Bulacan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Must hold a valid PE license.
• 5–10 years of experience in automated warehouse or manufacturing facilities, or at least electrical engineering experience.
• Willing to be assigned in Meycauayan, Bulacan.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical parts of the project including ASM control system and electrical protection.
• Evaluate vendor quotations and assist tendering with budgeting.
• Support PM team during ASM installation and commissioning.
• Prepare detailed drawings, QA, calculations, and installation methods for the ASM system.
• Review electrical documents such as single-line diagrams, MCC setups, and cable lists.
• Learn field control logic and electrical distribution from vendors.
• Establish preventive maintenance programs and training post-installation.
• Oversee maintenance procedures, schedules, and spare parts procurement.
• Suggest improvements to operating efficiency, safety, and reliability.
• Ensure maintenance activities are performed regularly by technicians.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

• Must be licensed Electrical Engineer

• Preferred to have 5-10 years of experience in automated warehouse / manufacturing facility; or at least electrical engineering experience

• Amenable to be assigned in Meycauayan, Bulacan

Design & During Installation

• Responsible for all aspects concerning the design of electrical parts of the project e.g. ASM control system, ASM electrical system, electrical protection (overcurrent, short circuit, earth fault), CCTV (optimised against ASM), other electrical works such as HV/LV transformers, switchgear, substations, MCC, VFD, cabling, lighting, grounding

• Support the tendering process including estimate budget, evaluate vendor quotations and specifications.

• Support the PM team managing the ASM installation and commissioning; challenging the vendor on the proposed solution

• Responsible for the detailed drawings, quality assurance, calculation, method of installation of the ASM system.

• Review and evaluate engineering documents like electrical, load list, cable list, electrical single line diagram, MCC-IO-room set-up, electrical network diagram, etc.

• Learn the whole field control logic and electrical distribution system from the vendors

After Installation

• Establish and refine preventive maintenance programs, employee training programs, manpower scheduling techniques, parts room inventory, efficiency improvement programs, regulatory compliance programs, etc.

• Oversee maintenance procedures, schedules, work orders, procurement of machine spare parts and tools

• Recommend solutions to increase operating efficiency, performance, safety, and reliability.
