Role overview

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer with strong technical skills in Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD, and Procore to join our remote engineering team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical engineering design, drafting, documentation, and coordination, with proven experience supporting Australian clients and projects.

The successful candidate should be familiar with Australian electrical standards, project requirements, and engineering documentation practices.

Key responsibilities

1. Electrical design and CAD drafting

• Prepare, review, and revise electrical engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop electrical layouts, lighting and power plans, and other electrical design drawings as required.
• Review architectural, structural, and other engineering drawings to ensure proper electrical coordination.
• Incorporate design changes, resolve drawing discrepancies, and maintain drawing revisions.

2. Bluebeam Revu and quantity takeoffs

• Use Bluebeam Revu for PDF markups, drawing reviews, quantity takeoffs, measurements, and documentation.
• Assist in preparing electrical design documentation, schedules, material takeoffs, and project deliverables.
• Review electrical drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.

3. Procore and electrical project management

• Use Procore for electrical project management, drawing management, and documentation.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, drawing revisions, and project documentation through Procore.
• Coordinate project updates, technical documentation, and deliverables with Australian clients and project teams.
• Assist with tracking project progress, maintaining records, and ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.

4. General electrical engineering support

• Ensure drawings and documentation comply with applicable Australian standards, project specifications, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with Australian clients, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to clarify technical requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, drawing discrepancies, and design coordination concerns.
• Ensure accuracy, quality, and timely submission of all assigned deliverables.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines independently in a remote working environment.

Candidate requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of overall experience in electrical engineering, electrical design, or a closely related role.
• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience working with Australian clients on electrical engineering projects.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong working knowledge of Bluebeam Revu, including markups, measurements, PDF drawing reviews, and quantity takeoffs.
• Proficiency in Procore and electrical project management.
• Experience using Procore for drawing management, RFIs, submittals, document control, and project coordination.
• Experience preparing electrical drawings and technical documentation for electrical or construction projects.
• Familiarity with relevant Australian electrical standards and building industry practices.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and technical problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote setup.

Highly desirable

• Experience in commercial, residential, industrial, or other building services electrical projects.
• Familiarity with Australian electrical design documentation and construction workflows.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Advanced experience using Procore for construction project management and documentation.
• Knowledge of additional design tools, such as Revit MEP, ETAP, or other electrical design software.
• Familiarity with Australian electrical standards, particularly AS/NZS 3000.

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer who can independently manage electrical design, drafting, technical documentation, and project coordination for Australian clients.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands‑on experience using AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, and Procore and be capable of preparing accurate electrical drawings, reviewing technical documentation, and coordinating project requirements.

The candidate should understand Australian electrical standards, construction workflows, and project requirements while ensuring all engineering deliverables are accurate, compliant, and completed on time.

The ability to identify technical issues, resolve drawing discrepancies, communicate effectively with Australian stakeholders, and manage multiple projects independently is particularly important.
