A leading engineering firm in Quezon City is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to assist in electrical design and validation. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) is a strong advantage.
1 to 2 years of proven experience in electrical design for buildings or infrastructure projects.
Demonstrated experience in as-built plan validation and site verification.
Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential. Experience with other design software (e.g., Revit MEP, ETAP, Dialux) is a plus.
Strong understanding of the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC) and other relevant electrical standards and regulations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
Willingness to conduct site visits and fieldwork as required.
JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Electrical Design:
Assist in the preparation of electrical engineering designs, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and lightning protection systems, in accordance with the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC) and other relevant standards.
Perform calculations for load computations, voltage drops, short circuit analysis, and protective device coordination.
Utilize AutoCAD and other relevant software for drafting and design of electrical layouts and schematics.
Collaborate with senior engineers to develop design concepts and ensure compliance with project specifications and client requirements.
Prepare electrical specifications, bill of materials (BOM), and cost estimates.
As-Built Plan Validation:
Conduct on-site inspections and surveys to verify the accuracy of installed electrical systems against design plans.
Review and validate "as-built" drawings submitted by contractors, ensuring they accurately reflect the final installed conditions.
Identify discrepancies between design plans and actual installations, and recommend corrective actions or necessary revisions to as-built documentation.
Prepare detailed reports and documentation of validation findings, including photographic evidence where necessary.
Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely updates to documentation.
Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain organized and accurate project documentation, including design calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
Ensure all designs and installations comply with relevant local and international electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations (e.g., PEC, IEEE, NFPA).
Participate in design reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes.
