Arete Construction Inc. is looking for an Electrical Engineer with 1–3 years of experience who is willing to grow in electrical design, site implementation, estimates, and project coordination.
The role involves both office and site work, including electrical layouts, load schedules, site inspections, material take-off, BOQ/BOM preparation, cost monitoring, manpower coordination, permits, testing, and project turnover.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assist in electrical layouts, load schedules, single-line diagrams, and basic electrical calculations.
- Review plans and check actual site conditions before implementation.
- Coordinate electrical works with architects, engineers, foremen, electricians, subcontractors, suppliers, procurement, and management.
- Assist in site implementation, including roughing-ins, pipe laying, wire pulling, panel board installation, device installation, testing, and turnover.
- Prepare quantity take-off for electrical materials such as wires, conduits, boxes, breakers, panel boards, lighting fixtures, and devices.
- Assist in BOQ/BOM preparation, material requests, estimates, budget costing, and cost monitoring.
- Assist in manpower planning and monitor site productivity.
- Prepare site reports, progress updates, markups, and as-built updates when needed.
- Assist in permits, inspections, CFEI-related documents, utility coordination, and turnover requirements.
- Help ensure electrical works follow approved plans, safety standards, project requirements, and applicable electrical codes.
Qualifications
- Graduate of Electrical Engineering.
- Licensed Electrical Engineer is preferred but not required.
- With 1–3 years of experience in electrical design, site implementation, estimates, or construction coordination.
- Experience in residential, commercial, fit-out, or building construction projects is an advantage.
- Able to read and prepare basic electrical layouts, load schedules, and single-line diagrams.
- Knowledgeable in quantity take-off, BOQ/BOM, estimates, and material coordination is an advantage.
- Willing to do both office and site work.
- Organized, detail-oriented, responsible, and willing to learn.
- Able to coordinate with office staff, site teams, suppliers, government offices, and utility providers when needed.
- Can drive a motorcycle and has a valid driver’s license is an advantage.
