Job summary

AS Contracting Co seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to provide technical electrical engineering support at the site, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and best practices. You will prepare plant drawings, single line diagrams, P&IDs, and control-architecture drawings, and generate necessary specifications, tender docs, and estimates.

You will participate in factory and site acceptance tests, offering technical guidance, and act as a change agent to drive innovation.

• Electrical engineering skills and knowledge applicable to design and development.

Responsibilities

• Provide Electrical Engineering technical assistance to the site, aligning with Fire Protection Agency, Electrical Codes and best engineering practices.
• Prepare drawings for plant general arrangements, power single line diagrams, P&IDs, control system architecture drawings, and instrument and I/O schedules.
• Produce documentation including user requirement specifications, control philosophies, tender documentation, and engineer's estimates.
• Attend factory and site acceptance tests, providing technical advice and guidance.
• Act as a change agent to enable innovation and improvements within projects.

About the job Electrical Design Engineer

Provide Electrical Engineering technical assistance to the site pertaining to such organizations as the Fire Protection Agency, Electrical Codes and other best engineering practices in general

Preparation of drawings for plant general arrangements, power single line diagrams, P&IDs, control system architecture drawings, and instrument and I/O schedules

Production of documentation, including user requirement specifications/control philosophies, tender documentation (including particular electrical and ICA specifications), schedules of prices and engineer's estimates

Attendance of factory and site acceptance tests provide technical advice and guidance

Act as a change agent, thinking out of the box to bring about change and innovation

Work within the Company's New Product Development (NPD) process

Prepare designs and related documents in accordance with requirements, established formats and general instructions

Designs products or modifies existing products using experience and knowledge of product applications and company standards

Assures that product documentation meets quality requirements

Provide discipline engineering support to manufacturing, when needed
