Electrical Design Engineer

Job summary

WSP Philippines is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design of building services and related systems. You will manage drawing records per QA procedures and liaise with local and international partners and clients.

You will coordinate with other disciplines, oversee design outputs, attend meetings, and mentor junior staff. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP and lighting/power layouts is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) is a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
• Knowledge in Lighting, Power, Security and Data Layouts, Schematic Design and Single Line Diagram
• Knowledge in Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD, Revit MEP, PowerCad-5, AGI and Dialux.
• Interpret and Draft Plans
• Read and interpret construction plans, schematics and blueprints for new construction projects. They also draft new plans for electrical design and ICT/communication system.
• Adhere to all Codes and Standards
• Aware of organization approach to risk management, ethics and safety.
• Develops an understanding of WSP’s organization capabilities and how to access it.
• Developing experience in monitoring and managing the scope of multiple varying size projects and applying business systems.
• Developing capacity to deliver best client outcomes/options which have saved the client/cost time.
• Developing skills to identify risk in small to medium profile projects.

• Use of electrical software and 3D modelling to develop electrical system designs.
• Other duties as required by management from time to time.
