Job description

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the design of electrical systems, including ELV (Extra Low Voltage) and weak current systems, for buildings, hospitality, commercial and industrial projects.
• Lead and supervise the Electrical Engineering team in implementing project objectives, plans and programs as directed by management.
• Ensure that client designs/studies are completed in accordance with the prescribed standards for each requesting party’s place/country of origin and intent/content.
• Liaise with local supply authorities to obtain necessary approvals.
• Manage and maintain records of all incoming and outgoing drawings in accordance with WSP QA procedures.
• Liaise with WSP personnel, partners, local and foreign affiliates, and clients.
• Coordinate with other design disciplines as part of the design team.
• Manage and control outputs in accordance with the design work program.
• Attend meetings locally and overseas as required.
• Exhibit professional behaviour consistent with WSP standards.
• Train and develop subordinates and the Electrical Engineering team.
• Produce regular reports on project status for management.
• Stay abreast of technical updates and advise management.
• Assist in multidisciplinary project activities.
• Use electrical software and 3D modelling tools to develop electrical system designs.
• Perform other duties as required by management from time to time.

Qualifications
