Job summary

Dempsey Resource Management is seeking a Costing Engineer to prepare detailed cost estimates, review drawings and BOMs, and compute materials, labor, overhead, and production costs for electrical manufacturing projects.

You will coordinate with Purchasing for supplier quotes, maintain costing databases, assist in bids and tenders, analyze variances, and support continuous improvement of costing procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Fresh graduates may apply.
• Applicants with at least three years of experience in costing, estimation, or electrical manufacturing are highly preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical materials, switchgear, panelboards, or power distribution systems is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and engineering computations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and customer quotations.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Compute material, labor, overhead, and production costs.
• Coordinate with Purchasing to obtain supplier quotations and pricing.
• Maintain updated costing databases and historical pricing records.
• Assist in preparing bids, tenders, and commercial proposals.
• Analyze cost variances and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
• Support continuous improvement of costing procedures and systems.
• Perform other related duties assigned by Management.
